Girls Night IN!!!

We still have tickets left for the “Girls Night Out” that is hosted by Teresa Castillo (Sabrina Santiago) and Emily Wilson (Ellie Trout).  This is destined to be one of the most fun evenings of the entire GH Fan Club Weekend!  We talked with GH Fans and asked what they wanted in an event and the overwhelming response was that after a long, four days, you wanted TO RELAX, so we are going to cater to what the fans want!  For that reason, Girls’ Night OUT has been changed to Girls’ Night IN.

The girls plan to PAMPER YOU with this event!  Come in your slippers and pajamas or other comfort clothes.   Be prepared for SPECIAL GOURMET COMFORT foods and lots of girl talk about the weekend and General Hospital.  We will have SPECIAL GIFTS and SPECIAL GUESTS as the BFFs of the ladies stop by to visit.

GH Fan Club Main Cast Event

sold_outHi Folks!

I have had a lot of people asking about a waiting list for tickets for the Main Cast Event on Saturday, July 27th.  This event completely sold out in March and we have added all of the additional seats we are able to add.  We do not have a waiting list for tickets for this event or any of our other GHFC sponsored events (see the details page for what events are sponsored by the GHFC).  To do so would entail us brokering the sale of previously sold tickets between fans and let me tell you, that has opened a can of worms in the past that we REALLY do not want to revisit.

The best bet for finding tickets is to be active on GH message boards and see if anyone is reselling their tickets.  Tickets can be resold until July 1st.  After that time, no tickets may be transferred to new owners.

Remember that tickets are still available for several of our other events.  The Kick Off Cocktail Reception, Girls’ Night Out, Dominic and Jason’s event, Kelly Monaco’s event all sponsored by the GH Fan Club and still have tickets available.  The GH Past Cast Event on Sunday hosted by Claire Mullan is going to be another event full of GH stars from the past and is a fantastic event, especially for our “veteran” fans.

Also for those who have asked, the actors from the past who have recently returned to the show are invited to attend both the Main Cast Event and the GH Past Cast Event.  It is their choice which, if any, of those events to attend.  Historically, both of these events is well-attended by actors.

Steve Burton & the GHFCW

burtonSeveral people have asked us to address the question of whether or not Steve Burton (ex-Jason) will attend any of the events occurring during the General Hospital Fan Club Weekend.  It is our understanding that due to contractual obligations with CBS, Steve will NOT be appearing at any of the GH Fan Club Weekend events.  As many of you know, it is standard policy that actors who are currently contracted with a daytime drama on a different network do not make appearances related to previous roles that are not on their current network.  Since Steve is presently well ensconced in The Young and the Restless, please do not expect that he will make an appearance at any GH events at this time.

Ticket Order Confirmations! – Please Read

If you ordered tickets for any of the events with ticket orders posted, please do not panic if you have not yet received your confirmation email about receipt of your ticket order.  On the first day of ticket sales alone for the Main Cast Luncheon and Kick Off Cocktail Party, the GHFC received more than 300 separate ticket orders.  Each of these ticket orders must be processed by hand.  It is entirely possible the staff has not yet processed your order.  It is also possible that ticket orders for one event but not another.  Our staff is working as fast as they can, but it does take time to get through each order, assign seating for the luncheon, and send out emails to everyone.  Your patience is appreciated.

Each year, we adopt a new GHFCW logo for our event that is used on our marketing material and on memorabilia for the weekend.  Above, you see the banner for last year’s event.  The  logo for 2011 is below:

logo2We look for colorful, eye-catching designs that reflect all that General Hospital has to offer.  GH has had such a fantastic, exciting year of truly excellent programming and of course, this year on April 1, we celebrate its 50th anniversary on the air.  The GH Fan Club invites YOU to design our 2013 GHFCW logo!  The winner will receive one (1) FREE event ticket to the 2013 GHFCW Main Cast Luncheon!

  • Submissions must be in .pdf or .jpg (.jpeg) format for viewing.
  • Submissions must be received no later than January 18, 2013.
  • Submissions should be emailed AS AN ATTACHMENT to ghpcfanclub@aol.com.
  • All submissions become the exclusive property of the General Hospital Fan Club.
  • Submissions are subject to alteration and modification for printing and design purposes.

The winner will be announced the week of January 21, 2013.
