As many of you may or may not know this past Thursday September 27, 2012 was Steve Burton’s last tape date at General Hospital. While we at the Official Fan Club want to wish him the very best and want him to follow his heart to say ours is broken because Jason will not be on our screens daily is a sad report! We wish you well and we will miss you ALOT!
When John Ingle first took over the role of Edward Quartermaine, nearly 20 years ago, I was 13. I was about a year away from my first relationship, and Robin was about six months away from her first love, Stone Cates, although she was crushing on Jason Quartermaine at the time. I remember Edward coming back, having been discovered enjoying life incognito in the Bahamas. In no time, everything was back to normal at the Q Mansion. Which means Edward was doing everything possible to turn his family members against each other in the name of ELQ and picking his perfect heir. It would be years before he realized that enjoying his family was all that truly mattered, and it was a realization that came too late, but it came nonetheless.
R.I.P John Ingle
Our beloved John Ingle/Edward Quartermaine has passed away at the age of 84. We miss him already! We missed him this year at the GHFCW Main Cast Event. John had been our Master of Ceremony for years. This year due to health reasons he was not able to make the event for the first time ever. Bradford Anderson graciously stepped in at the last minute for him. John was such a single soul! Please keep John and his wonderful family in your thoughts and prayers.
I have said it before, and I’ll say it again — I am so happy that Todd Manning moved to Port Charles. Who else would call a meeting of the Port Charles One-Percenters? And wouldn’t that be an awesome band name?
