General Hospital Fan Club Weekend 2014 - July 31 – August 4, Sportsmen's Lodge Hotel & Event Center, Studio City, California

The Kick Off Cocktail Reception

kickoffThe Kick Off Cocktail Reception is an informal mingling event for the guests and actors.  Finger foods are served and there is a bar open for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (at a cost).  Although seating is available at this event, most guests are circulating among the actors.  The atmosphere is very relaxed.  Dress is “dressy casual.”

Guests should check into the event at the announced time and enter the ballroom when the doors are opened.

Historically, we have an excellent actor involvement for this event. We do not know in advance what actors will attend and do not at any time post a list of expected actors.

The arrival and departure of actors is unscheduled and staggered throughout the evening.  The length of time an actor remains at the event is completely up to them.  Some stay longer and some just pop in to say hello.

Upon arrival, actors will be escorted to the stage and introduced.  They will then move onto the main ballroom floor area for photos and visiting with guests.

Although the event is informal, lines are still used for actor/guest interaction.  Please respect the lines and go to the back of the line for your turn.  Actors are not behind tables for this event, but are out in the ballroom area informally.  All actors are to be treated with respect.  Do not touch the actor inappropriately or make inappropriate comments to them.  Do not crowd the actors.  They need breathing room, being humans and all.

Please do not crowd press photographers – they are doing their job.

Do not stop actors for photos or autographs as they are being escorted into or out of the event or to or from the bathroom.  This is for their security.  Actor/guest interaction should take place only in the event area.

Please drink responsibly. Guests who are intoxicated to the point that they are unable to behave appropriately will be removed from the event.
