The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the nominees for the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. The awards ceremony will be televised live on Pop at 8:00 p.m. EDT/5:00 p.m. PDT from the Warner Bros. Studios lot in Burbank, CA on Sunday, April 26. GENERAL HOSPITAL is nominated in 28 categories including Outstanding Drama Series, along with multiple nominees in Outstanding Lead Actor, Outstanding Lead Actress, Outstanding Support Actress, Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series and Outstanding Younger Actor in A Drama Series, among others.

GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) will be hosting a new ABC.com series, entitled GENERAL HOSPITAL NOW, that the actress shares is “SNLish mixed with Soap. Coming soon in digital near you.” Grahn tweeted the official news of the project following wrapping production yesterday with GREY’S ANATOMY star Justin Chambers as a featured star. Previously, Grahn had been tweeting about a top secret ABC.com series that would feature actors from GH including Jason Thompson (Patrick), Kirsten Storms (Maxie), Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) and more.
Since departing GENERAL HOSPITAL last year when her character(s) Connie Falconeri/Kate Howard reached their demise, Kelly Sullivan is now tackling female empowerment with the launch of Thatta Gurl, which seeks “to connect, to inspire, and to share knowledge about living every damn day happily and healthily.” She will also soon begin appearing on CBS’s THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in the recurring role of Sage.
